The members of the Language Institute, University of Sarajevo, took part in the International Scientific Conference “Language and Culture – Conditions and Challenges”, held on November 6 and 7, 2018, organized by the Institute for Macedonian Language “Krste Misirkov” in Skopje (Republic of Macedonia). The Scientific Conference was a central event in a series of activities that were organized during five working days, marking the 65th anniversary of the Institute for Macedonian Language “Krste Misirkov” (1953–2018). Organizers point out that this was the most visited conference by the number of submitted reports and the number of readings – the sixty participants were from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Macedonia, Slovenia, Serbia and Turkey.

Within the celebration of the 65th anniversary of the Institute for Macedonian Language in a festive ambience, a protocol on cooperation between the Institute for Macedonian Language and the Language Institute, University of Sarajevo, was signed, containing important items on future joint activities in the field of linguistics and philology.

For all, we congratulate the organizers on a well-prepared conference and excellent organization of celebrating the great jubilee – 65 years of the Institute for Macedonian Language! At the same time, we would like to thank for your exceptional welcome, excellent communication and cooperation.

In addition, within this visit to Macedonia, a seminar of professional development for teachers of class and subject teaching, who teach Bosnian language and literature in Macedonia, was also held.
