In cooperation with Gazi Husrev-beg Madrasa, on November 19, 2019, the Language Institute of the University of Sarajevo organized the promotion of the proceedings of the symposium “Alija Isaković and the Bosnian Language”. The promoters were prof. dr. Dževad Jahić, prof. dr. Alen Kalajdžija, prof. dr. Uzeir Bavčić and prof. dr. Alija Pirić, moderator mr. Elmira Resić. Prof. dr. Jahić said that the book should be read carefully, because through it we would meet a man who had a deep knowledge of Bosnia as a cultural and historical space and explained and exhibited how that space has its reflexes in language and literature. He added that those proceedings is an example of how one should think about the Bosnian language. Prof. Pirić called Alija Isaković a knight of his time for his tireless work related to the Bosnian language. Prof. dr. Kalajdžija emphasized Isaković’s words that our language is our morality. The language stores all our knowledge, all our experiences, language is the intellectual archeology of our community, and those proceedings will actually help the understanding of the status and position of the Bosnian language, and its importance for the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and for speakers of Bosnian wherever they were located. Prof. dr. Bavčić stressed the importance of valorizing the literary work of Alija Isaković, which is a work that has not been completed yet, not even 20 years after his death.

We would like to thank everyone presented and the media that reported on the promotion.
