Language Institute of the University of Sarajevo in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, Youth, Science, Culture and Sports and the Pedagogical Bureau of the Bosnian-Podrinje Canton – Goražde organized a seminar for teachers and professors of Bosnian language and class teachers. More than 80 educational workers from elementary and high schools attended lectures on the history of the Bosnian language, contemporary language, and literature. The lecturers were staff of the Language Institute: dr. sc. Alen Kalajdžija, dr. sc. Jasmin Hodžić, mr. sc. Aida Kršo and Hadžem Hajdarević, writer.

At the end of the seminar, it was concluded that it was succesfully realised what in the introductory speech was highlighted by Mrs. Dika Makota, Director of the Cantonal Pedagogical Bureau: The expected outcome of the seminar is that teachers and professors will master the new methodological, scientific and professional facts that will be used in the teaching of Bosnian language and literature, as well as in elementary school teaching, with the aim of expanding the competences of reading, writing and oral expression of students.

The atmosphere during the presentation was working, creative, consultative, informative and useful. Contacts with colleagues who work in teaching in the Bosnian-Podrinje canton were made, we offered our support – whenever they have the need for some information from different linguistic areas and daily language practices, the Institute with its employees and associates is at their disposal.

Thanks to this cooperation and the support of the Ministry of Education, Youth, Science, Culture and Sports of the Bosnian-Podrinje Canton, the libraries in schools are richer for the ten titles of the Institute of Language: Jezički savjetnik, Osnovi gramatike bosanskog jezika, Pravopisni priručnik bosanskog / hrvatskog / srpskog jezika sa osnovama gramatike, Kultura govora, Rječnik stranih riječi bosanskog jezika, Rasprave o jeziku, Zbornik – Drugi simpozij o bosanskom jeziku, Riječi perzijskog porijekla u bosanskom jeziku, Književni jezik No. 25, 26 and 27.
