On May 19, 2021, from 1:00 pm to 1:30 pm, a press conference was held at the Institute of Language of the University of Sarajevo on the occasion of the Third Symposium on the Bosnian Language, which will be held on May 20 and 21, 2021. Dr. sc. Alen Kalajdžija, senior research associate, director, and mr. sc. Aida Kršo, research assistant, spoke about the symposium. In her introductory speech, Aida Kršo explained that the first symposium was organized in 1998 in Bihać, the second in 2015 in Sarajevo, and the third was supposed to be held last year in Mostar, but was postponed several times due to the pandemic. At the end, it was decided that it will be held online. Alen Kalajdžija described the program of the conference, emphasizing the importance of support and welcome presentations, which included the Minister of Science, Education and Youth of the Sarajevo Canton, Prof. dr. Melika Husić-Mehmedović, Minister of Higher Education and Science of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton Prof. dr. Rašid Hadžović, as well as the Vice-Rector for Teaching at the University of Sarajevo, Prof. dr. Dženana Husremović, and at the University “Džemal Bijedić” in Mostar Prof. dr. Edina Špago-Ćumurija. He especially thanked the members of the Organizing Committee for the good cooperation and useful suggestions. He also emphasized the importance of the support given by the honorary members of the Organizing Committee.
